Reading about the history of Japan

I continued reading about the history of Japan. By doing so, I try to develop a new mindset for Japanese.

Today, I've read about 弥生時代 (Yayoi period) which was very interesting since in this period happened a lot! Agricultural-centered communities grew, they buried their leaders in tumuli (which shows, that the differences in social status became bigger) and one major point is the connection to China. China treated the communities/regions of Japan as a country, which is a momentous fact.*

The part about this period was longer and more complex than the parts before. It was a bit more difficult to read, but it was worth it! 弥生時代 seemed to be a very important period.

And one more thing: In a book about important figures of japanese history I already read about 卑弥呼. And exactly this person is mentioned in this part! Seeing how the dots connect is a great feeling.

*If I described something incorrectly, I'm sorry. I'm still learning.
