90 Day Challenge - Day 10
I liked the idea of the 90 Day Challenge (LingQ). It made me curious. How much can I improve my Japanese in 90 days?
I started 10 days ago. My progress so far:
- I'm slowly getting used to writing in Japanese.
- Understanding written Japanese is slightly easier than before.
My listening ability improved not noticeable. But this is just a matter of time.
So, what are my learning activities?
- working through the lessons of Erin's Challenge (current lesson: 3)
- passive listening (audio files from Erin's Challenge and japanese TV)
- chatting with natives via the HelloTalk app
- asking questions about things like word usage in Japanese (Lang8)
- playing Bravely Default, looking for interesting sentences for review
- review kanji and sentences via Anki
Especially asking questions in Japanese about Japanese is fun. It seems, that natives are more interested in answering questions (interacting), than simply correcting a monologue. The great thing about the Bravely Default game is, that most dialogues have audio output so I can read along. This is really entertaining! And I learned some useful words from this game. These helped me with chatting via HelloTalk.
All these activities seem to work pretty well!
