Solid Base

After my long absence on social media I would like to 'revive' my blog and Twitter/Insta to connect with other language learners and natives. :)

My focus lies on Japanese right now. I would like to improve my ability to express myself (I'm very limited here...).

'Japanese Sentence Patterns for Effective Communication' is a really useful book I use for that matter. It starts with the most simple and basic sentence patterns and introduces more and more complex ones. Every chapter contains several patterns: The new pattern is introduced followed by an detailed explanation and several examples.

I absolutely LOVE this book but sadly I never found the time to work it through... Until now! I will use it together with lang8 to improve my ability to express myself in Japanese. I want to feel more confident and want to express my thoughts more freely.

Although I'm used to read japanese articles online or reading japanese books (while using a dictionary) I'm feeling very unsure when writing in Japanese. I always ask myself 'Is that right? Would a native understand me?' >__< Studying all these sentence patterns should help me building an solid base.

I never learned this language in an structured way. That's why my knowledge of the japanese language is quite fragmented. I know some basic things, some intermediate and even some advanced things. But I'm lacking an solid base.

It's time to change that! I will write about my progress and study routines here!
