Russian Log / 013
I was surprisingly active today! These simple drawings illustrate the russian words for directions (like right, left, ...). They look very rough/sketchy, but they do their job. XD
What I did today:
- listening & reading (dialogue)
- lots of passive listening (dialogue)
- grammar
- reading (news article)
I concentrated on the first dialogue from my textbook and read the text a few times while listening to the audio. Then I listened to the audio while working through the grammar part of lesson 1. I managed to finish the whole grammar part of this lesson!
Then an interesting headline catched my eye on Twitter and I read the news article. It was very difficult and took much time, but there were some easy words and interesting phrases.
I like to scroll through my Twitter feed. I follow many russian news accounts and read their headlines. Sometimes they contain words I know and I try to guess what this article is about.
As you can see, it doesn't have to be an whole text to practice reading -- reading some tweets (whenever you have some time to spare) is also great practice!
