What I did today:

• reviews (vocab, grammar)
• reading (news articles, first chapter of a longer story)
• listening (audio book)
• grammar

I've read a lot more today than usual and looked up around 300 words in LWT. I also started with the grammar part of lesson 2 (textbook). The example sentences were so easy in contrast to the other texts I've read so far. XD 

I think it's good to vary the level of difficulty. Reading some easy stuff after all these news articles feels great. It's kind of refreshing and I can feel some improvement. 

It feels like some sort of calibration. If you switch regularly between easy and native level texts, you can compare your experiences and can estimate your actual level much better. If you only know one side, you'll probably estimate your level too low (if you only read too difficult texts) or too high (if you only read easy texts). Challenges and success experiences complement each other.
