Russian Log / 024
What I did today:
- reviews (vocab, grammar)
- reading (continuing longer story, news article)
- grammar
I wrote several new grammar points into my notebook. I would like to reach a pace at which I can finish one lesson per week, but I won't force it. Sometimes it's better to spend a little more time on something, if necessary.
As I said before, I would like to learn more thorough. In Japanese, I feel that my knowledge is somewhat fragmented. It's kind of frustrating being able to understand quite intermediate/advanced stuff (to some degree), but at the same time there are gaps in some basic areas.
In Russian, I try to build a solid base (as far as possible). Of course, language learning is an organic process. There are things that are called "basics", but it's not realistically that your knowledge builds up strictly systematic - humans are not robots, after all. XD
That's why I use different resources together. I use my textbook (and later other learning materials) to build a base. But I also read native level materials to expand my knowledge organically.
